Classical ovoid large decanter with handle of the Art Deco style with gadrooned pattern. Perfect for serving port, sherry and table wine; vintage English 1930s.

The style of Art Deco was dominant in the 1920s, 30s and 40s. It originated in France, and is short for Arts Decoratifs, inspired by the 1925 Paris world fair «International Exposition of Modern Industrial and Decorative Arts». The style was dominant in architecture and the everyday design, including homewares and home decorations.

How to care
Clean glass jugs, wine decanters and claret jugs immediately after use - that way it is easy to remove the stains before they set onto the glass surface.

Decanters, wine carafes and narrow jugs can be cleaned using rock salt or rice and vinegar. Salt acts as an abrasive. Rinse well and let it dry thoroughly.

Clouded surface inside a decanter is hard to fix - requires a vibrating machine; but when decanter is full with liquid, the glass becomes transparent.
