Elegant locking decanter of the Art Deco style in cut glass, mounted with sterling silver collar and lock and set with a mushroom stopper. Ideal for serving whisky, liqueurs as well as port and sherry; vintage English, hallmarked for London 1928.
Condition: some surface wear, small chips, scratches on silver
The famous novel The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald was written in 1925 and is set in the contemporary Art Deco period. The story perfectly catches the opulent lifestyle of the Roaring Twenties with its spectacular parties, also known as the Jazz Age.

How to care

Glass is a pretty tough material. Wash old wine glasses normally in a warm soapy water. Watch out for gilding and enamelling - do not scrub hard.
