Spectacular square shaped decanter in moulded and cut glass, with impressed floral decoration on all sides, set wit ha faceted ball stopper; Continental European Edwardian circa 1900.
Condition: minor surface wear, small chips on the body, chip on the base rim
As a major international style, in different countries Art Nouveau had different names. For example, it was called Jugendstil in Germany, Secession in Austria, Stile Liberty in Italy and Modern in Russia. Essentially this was a new art and design, breaking away from the old, traditional aesthetics.

How to care
Clean glass jugs, wine decanters and claret jugs immediately after use - that way it is easy to remove the stains before they set onto the glass surface.
How to care
Decanters, wine carafes and narrow jugs can be cleaned using rock salt or rice and vinegar. Salt acts as an abrasive. Rinse well and let it dry thoroughly.

Traditionally, tough wine stains inside glass decanters can be removed by rolling buckshot; nowadays they are called decanter cleaning rolling balls.
How to care
Clouded surface inside a decanter is hard to fix - requires a vibrating machine; but when decanter is full with liquid, the glass becomes transparent.
