Unusual petal-cut glass rummer with square moulded foot and stem including air bubbles, bowl engraved with initials JL/IL or H; antique English Georgian circa 1810, ideal for serving red wine, beer and large cocktails.
Condition: antique wear to foot, two minor foot apex chips typical of this style
Georgian period mainly refers to the second half of the 18th century and up to the 1820s. The style was predominantly neo-classical, that looked back at the ancient Greece and Rome and used those elements in design and decoration. Most Georgian items have straight and very clean lines and elegant repetitive floral patterns.
