Spectacular Georgian large rummer in blown glass, light bodied ovoid bowl with merese and cushion stem knop and uncut pontil mark. Ideal for serving red wine, beer or large cocktails. Antique English circa 1800.

Georgian period mainly refers to the second half of the 18th century and up to the 1820s. The style was predominantly neo-classical, that looked back at the ancient Greece and Rome and used those elements in design and decoration. Most Georgian items have straight and very clean lines and elegant repetitive floral patterns.
