Classical barrel shaped decanter with cut glass panelled decoration, ringed neck; antique English Georgian, circa 1800, later stopper. Ideal for serving whisky.

Georgian period mainly refers to the second half of the 18th century and up to the 1820s. The style was predominantly neo-classical, that looked back at the ancient Greece and Rome and used those elements in design and decoration. Most Georgian items have straight and very clean lines and elegant repetitive floral patterns.
