Spectacular Art Deco tapered decanter with crosshatch decoration in cut glass, set with a pine cone stopper. Ideal for serving whisky or liquor; vintage English 1930s.
Condition: surface chips on the rim, slightly clouded
The style of Art Deco was dominant in the 1920s, 30s and 40s. It originated in France, and is short for Arts Decoratifs, inspired by the 1925 Paris world fair «International Exposition of Modern Industrial and Decorative Arts». The style was dominant in architecture and the everyday design, including homewares and home decorations.

Decanters, wine carafes and narrow jugs can be cleaned using rock salt or rice and vinegar. Salt acts as an abrasive. Rinse well and let it dry thoroughly.
