Charming glass decanter with a music box fitted in the base, of a traditional barrel shape with intricate cut decoration and a mushroom stopper. The Swiss made winding music box plays two classical chamber tunes and is activated when the decanter is lifted. Vintage continental European, 1960s-70s.

How to care
Clean glass jugs, wine decanters and claret jugs immediately after use - that way it is easy to remove the stains before they set onto the glass surface.
How to care
Decanters, wine carafes and narrow jugs can be cleaned using rock salt or rice and vinegar. Salt acts as an abrasive. Rinse well and let it dry thoroughly.

Traditionally, tough wine stains inside glass decanters can be removed by rolling buckshot; nowadays they are called decanter cleaning rolling balls.
