Opulent ribbed large decanter in blown glass, with cut glass scroll and diamond pattern, set with a sterling silver collar engraved with initials and a glass encased in sterling silver crown stopper, by Joseph Rich. Ideal for serving table wine; antique English, hallmarked fro Sheffield 1896.
Condition: polished, small chips on stopper tip, small internal crack on inner rim, faint split in collar, slightly clouded

Decanters, wine carafes and narrow jugs can be cleaned using rock salt or rice and vinegar. Salt acts as an abrasive. Rinse well and let it dry thoroughly.

Glass is a pretty tough material. Wash old wine glasses normally in a warm soapy water. Watch out for gilding and enamelling - do not scrub hard.
