Art Nouveau was a major international style dominating the art, architecture and design between about 1890 and the mid-1910s. It took its inspiration from the nature and used the forms of flowers, trees, birds, animals and insects in design elements.

How to care
Clean glass jugs, wine decanters and claret jugs immediately after use - that way it is easy to remove the stains before they set onto the glass surface.

Decanters, wine carafes and narrow jugs can be cleaned using rock salt or rice and vinegar. Salt acts as an abrasive. Rinse well and let it dry thoroughly.

Traditionally, tough wine stains inside glass decanters can be removed by rolling buckshot; nowadays they are called decanter cleaning rolling balls.

Clouded surface inside a decanter is hard to fix - requires a vibrating machine; but when decanter is full with liquid, the glass becomes transparent.
How to care
Glass is a pretty tough material. Wash old wine glasses normally in a warm soapy water. Watch out for gilding and enamelling - do not scrub hard.
