Opulent set of six dinner forks and six knives, of a very high quality, silver plated with intricately engraved floral scrolls and bearing initials M on each handle, possibly by John Sherwood & Sons of Birmingham; antique English Victorian 19th century.
Condition: fine, minor surface wear
Products made in the traditional Victorian style are often recognisable because of their lavish decoration. The design mixes various sources of inspiration, but the prevalent decorative features are rich floral ornaments, scrolls and foliage, often applied all over the items.

How to care
All our cutlery can be washed normally, including ivory, bone, antler and horn handles; silver and silver plated parts can be polished.
