Antique English,
Spectacular serving bowl and lid decorated in blue and white willow pattern, with lion handle by Allerton Brough & Green; antique English, circa 1850. The bowl in earthenware, the lid in porcelain and is not original to the bowl.
Condition: glaze on the bowl stained, lid from a different bowl and does not fit properly
Products made in the traditional Victorian style are often recognisable because of their lavish decoration. The design mixes various sources of inspiration, but the prevalent decorative features are rich floral ornaments, scrolls and foliage, often applied all over the items.

Pottery care
Porcelain, ironstone and pottery are tough materials. Wash all ceramics normally in a warm water with a sponge. Be gentle with overglaze decorations.
