Shabby chic coffee and tea set, including a coffee pot, teapot, sugar bowl and creamer, polished grey metal set with wooden handles, by Picquot Ware; vintage English 1960s.
Condition: some surface wear
The style was a natural continuation of the Art Deco. It mainly refers to the design period of 1950s and 1960s. Neat straight lines with minimal decoration — functionality of the items and simplicity of design were the key elements. Due to the shortage of resources in Europe, the style was also manifested in the popularity of small scale products.
