Opulent Art Deco tea and coffee set in solid sterling silver, including a coffee pot, teapot. sugar bowl and creamer, with panelled decoration by Kemp Brothers; vintage English, hallmarked for London 1939, coffee pot hallmarked 1940.
Condition: some surface wear
Art Deco style was a main step towards the modern product design, as we know it today. It replaced the nature inspired Art Nouveau and instead drew its inspiration from the age of machinery, the automobile, the moving pictures and the whole industrial progress in general; hence the prevalence of geometric forms in Art Deco items.

How to care
To polish lightly tarnished silver plated and silver surface, use silver polishing cloth. Polishing lightly but often makes cleaning much easier.
