Spectacular porcelain tea set for six, including 6 cups, 6 saucers and 6 cake plates, with a lavish Strawberry Fair pattern design by Simpsons; vintage English 1970s.

Homewares in the period between 1950s to 1970s were often produced in Modernist style. Defined by neat lines, bold and unusual colours and fairly minimalist shapes. All this often makes Modernist items very functional and timeless.

How to care
Avoid washing gilded and overglaze painted ceramics in a dishwasher. Tiny sand particles in the water will eventually make the decoration look dull.
How to care
Porcelain, ironstone and pottery are tough materials. Wash all ceramics normally in a warm water with a sponge. Be gentle with overglaze decorations.
