Flamboyant Art Nouveau tea set for four persons, including 4 cups, 4 saucers, 4 plates and a cake plate, with Floreal decoration in bone china, by J Goodwin Stoddard & Co; antique English circa 1900.
Condition: some surface wear
As a major international style, in different countries Art Nouveau had different names. For example, it was called Jugendstil in Germany, Secession in Austria, Stile Liberty in Italy and Modern in Russia. Essentially this was a new art and design, breaking away from the old, traditional aesthetics.
