Silver cocktail shaker
Vintage English,
Classical sterling silver cocktail shaker of the Art Deco style with a golf related inscription from the Bermuda championship dated 1928, by Henry Clifford Davis; vintage English, hallmarked for Birmingham 1927. The inscription refers to Lanceray Arthur Newnham, a British army Colonel who fought in both WWI and WWII and was awarded a George Cross.
Condition: some surface wear
Items in the Art Deco style were often produced using new materials of the period, such as stainless steel, aluminium and Bakelite — an early type of plastic. Bold colours were used to produce attractive design by creating strong contrasts.

How to care
To polish lightly tarnished silver plated and silver surface, use silver polishing cloth. Polishing lightly but often makes cleaning much easier.
