Attractive large jug of a heavy baluster shape with floral pattern, great for flower arrangements, by Beswick; vintage English 1930s.

The style of Art Deco was dominant in the 1920s, 30s and 40s. It originated in France, and is short for Arts Decoratifs, inspired by the 1925 Paris world fair «International Exposition of Modern Industrial and Decorative Arts». The style was dominant in architecture and the everyday design, including homewares and home decorations.

Pottery care
Porcelain, ironstone and pottery are tough materials. Wash all ceramics normally in a warm water with a sponge. Be gentle with overglaze decorations.
