Spectacular large water jug with ribbed decoration in dark blue lustre and gilded, great for flower arrangements, of the Mid-Century Modern style; vintage English mid 20th century.
Condition: Fine, minor surface wear
Mid-Century Modern homeware products were made to be as useful as possible, with clear lines and simple design. Decoration was minimal and based on colours and elegant curving lines, illustrating the fact of mechanical production.

Pottery care
Porcelain, ironstone and pottery are tough materials. Wash all ceramics normally in a warm water with a sponge. Be gentle with overglaze decorations.
