Classical pottery jug of a globular shape with colourful mottled decoration in black, blue and yellow, great for serving water at the dinner table, by Tudor; vintage English late 20th century.

Homewares in the period between 1950s to 1970s were often produced in Modernist style. Defined by neat lines, bold and unusual colours and fairly minimalist shapes. All this often makes Modernist items very functional and timeless.

Pottery care
Porcelain, ironstone and pottery are tough materials. Wash all ceramics normally in a warm water with a sponge. Be gentle with overglaze decorations.
