Striking heavy baluster shaped jug with floral pattern of the Mid-Century Modern style, great for serving water at the dinner table, by Beswick; vintage English mid 20th century.
Condition: some surface wear, small chip on the inner rim
Mid-Century Modern homeware products were made to be as useful as possible, with clear lines and simple design. Decoration was minimal and based on colours and elegant curving lines, illustrating the fact of mechanical production.

Pottery care
Porcelain, ironstone and pottery are tough materials. Wash all ceramics normally in a warm water with a sponge. Be gentle with overglaze decorations.
