Beautiful majolica water jug in pottery of a narrow octagonal shape, Arts & Crafts style; antique English circa 1900. Originally a teapot, it is lacking its lid and can be used as a water jug or for flower displays.
Condition: small surface chips and surface wear
Arts & Crafts was a major international movement in design. It started in Victorian Britain in the 1860s, and came as a reaction to the industrialisation and mass production. It was about simple and functional, high quality and skilfully produced homewares and furniture, using simple natural materials.

Pottery care
Porcelain, ironstone and pottery are tough materials. Wash all ceramics normally in a warm water with a sponge. Be gentle with overglaze decorations.
