Antique set of five luncheon, starter or side plates, decorated with printed and enamelled border of lotus flowers in various stages of bloom, English porcelain by Spode Copeland, circa 1900.
Condition: Antique — one plate with chip on the underside, otherwise fine
Products made in the traditional Victorian style are often recognisable because of their lavish decoration. The design mixes various sources of inspiration, but the prevalent decorative features are rich floral ornaments, scrolls and foliage, often applied all over the items.

Pottery care
Porcelain, ironstone and pottery are tough materials. Wash all ceramics normally in a warm water with a sponge. Be gentle with overglaze decorations.
