Beautiful heavy baluster shaped planter in pottery of the Art Nouveau style, specially designed for the retailer Maple & Co of London by Booths; antique English circa 1910.
Condition: some surface wear
As a major international style, in different countries Art Nouveau had different names. For example, it was called Jugendstil in Germany, Secession in Austria, Stile Liberty in Italy and Modern in Russia. Essentially this was a new art and design, breaking away from the old, traditional aesthetics.

Pottery care
Porcelain, ironstone and pottery are tough materials. Wash all ceramics normally in a warm water with a sponge. Be gentle with overglaze decorations.
