Spectacular Modernist style large dark red blown glass lamp, hollow body, unmarked but by Whitefriars; vintage English 1970s. The lamp is wired for the UK market.

Homewares in the period between 1950s to 1970s were often produced in Modernist style. Defined by neat lines, bold and unusual colours and fairly minimalist shapes. All this often makes Modernist items very functional and timeless.

Clean glass jugs, wine decanters and claret jugs immediately after use - that way it is easy to remove the stains before they set onto the glass surface.
How to care
Decanters, wine carafes and narrow jugs can be cleaned using rock salt or rice and vinegar. Salt acts as an abrasive. Rinse well and let it dry thoroughly.
