Elegant sterling silver rectangular shaped photo frame of the Art Nouveau style, by E Mander & Sons; antique English, hallmarked for Birmingham 1902.
Condition: some surface wear
As a major international style, in different countries Art Nouveau had different names. For example, it was called Jugendstil in Germany, Secession in Austria, Stile Liberty in Italy and Modern in Russia. Essentially this was a new art and design, breaking away from the old, traditional aesthetics.
