Glass champagne flute
Antique English,
Delightful hand blown ale or champagne flute glass with engraved hops and barley, on knopped stem, with a rough pontil and an amusingly wobbly base; antique English William IV circa 1830.
Condition: minor surface wear
Georgian period mainly refers to the second half of the 18th century and up to the 1820s. The style was predominantly neo-classical, that looked back at the ancient Greece and Rome and used those elements in design and decoration. Most Georgian items have straight and very clean lines and elegant repetitive floral patterns.
