Spectacular pair of medium dark green glasses with panelled decoration in cut glass on a stem, of the Georgian style; antique English early 1800s. Ideal for serving port, sherry and dessert wines.

Georgian period mainly refers to the second half of the 18th century and up to the 1820s. The style was predominantly neo-classical, that looked back at the ancient Greece and Rome and used those elements in design and decoration. Most Georgian items have straight and very clean lines and elegant repetitive floral patterns.
