Spectacular Georgian blown and cut glass rummer of an octagonal petal shape on a very large foot with polished pontil. Ideal for serving wine, beer and large cocktails. Antique English circa 1800.

Georgian period mainly refers to the second half of the 18th century and up to the 1820s. The style was predominantly neo-classical, that looked back at the ancient Greece and Rome and used those elements in design and decoration. Most Georgian items have straight and very clean lines and elegant repetitive floral patterns.

Decanters, wine carafes and narrow jugs can be cleaned using rock salt or rice and vinegar. Salt acts as an abrasive. Rinse well and let it dry thoroughly.
