Exceptionally rare woven cane baby crib by Dryad of Leicester, the bed with handles and high canopy set on a sturdy base structure with solid wood fragments; vintage English 1930s.
Condition: fine and clean
Arts & Crafts was one of the most important styles in the late Victorian period. Among other sources, the style drew its inspiration from the mythology of the British Isles and from the fabulous legends about king Arthur. The products were designed to a high standard, using traditional materials and techniques.
