Spectacular decanter with cut glass hobnail pattern of a mallet shape, of the Arts & Crafts style. Ideal for serving whisky, liqueurs as well as port and sherry; antique English circa 1910.

Arts & Crafts was a major international movement in design. It started in Victorian Britain in the 1860s, and came as a reaction to the industrialisation and mass production. It was about simple and functional, high quality and skilfully produced homewares and furniture, using simple natural materials.

How to care
Clean glass jugs, wine decanters and claret jugs immediately after use - that way it is easy to remove the stains before they set onto the glass surface.
How to care
Decanters, wine carafes and narrow jugs can be cleaned using rock salt or rice and vinegar. Salt acts as an abrasive. Rinse well and let it dry thoroughly.

Traditionally, tough wine stains inside glass decanters can be removed by rolling buckshot; nowadays they are called decanter cleaning rolling balls.
