Colourful small toy children’s dinner set including a tureen on a plate, gravy boat on a stand and two small plates, with floral decoration; vintage English 1930s.
Condition: some surface wear, small chip on tureen
Items in the Art Deco style were often produced using new materials of the period, such as stainless steel, aluminium and Bakelite — an early type of plastic. Bold colours were used to produce attractive design by creating strong contrasts.

Pottery care
Porcelain, ironstone and pottery are tough materials. Wash all ceramics normally in a warm water with a sponge. Be gentle with overglaze decorations.
